'You're crazy.' The cheetah laughed. 'I've heard a lot of bunnies begging to get out of this house,
and you're the first nut that's wanted to live here.'
Renee grinned and shuffled herself closer, making no subtle reminder that she was unusually fond
of Firros despite the usual dynamic between their two species. 'Well, I feel a lot safer than the last
bunny that was in here.'
'Is.' Firros corrected, lifting his feet up onto the sofa and dropping them either side of where
Renee was kneeling on the opposite cushion to his left. 'Technically, she's still here.'
'Is she though?' Renee asked playfully. She crawled up between Firros' legs, stopping just short of
his groin for a few moments before hopping to the first cushion just beside where the large but
slender cat had laid himself down. His belly had only a slight bulge, the powerful musculature
beneath that fur and skin compressing someone almost the same size as Renee into a space barely
enough to contain them.
'She is.' Firros confirmed. He placed his left hand on the back of her shoulder and gently pressed
her to his abdomen. Though tense at first, she quickly relaxed and let her head come to rest on the
soft fur of his belly where the small twitching bulge of his prey was visible. 'What's she saying?'
Renee's ear twitched and her eyes closed in an expression of euphoric bliss. 'She's just... begging
and crying... The usual.' The rabbit explained. She slid a hand through his fur, then another until she
was cradling her head on top of him. His fur was rough over most of his body, but on the underside it
was just so perfectly soft, she could almost fall asleep.
'Don't fall asleep there.' He interrupted the thought and the possibility, lifting her by the scruff of
her neck and putting her on his chest instead. They were now face to face. Close enough to kiss or
close enough for him to make a snack of her too, but she wondered if it would be uncomfortable for
him to have two adult rabbits in his stomach at once.
She took the chance and leaned forward, feeling his lips press against hers as he reciprocated the
kiss. After a few moments, she pulled away and rested her hands and chin on top of his muzzle. Hie
eyes crossed slightly to meet hers and she felt his tongue slowly lap up the fur on her own belly.
'How do you manage to keep so sweet?' Firros asked, audibly licking his lips after he spoke.
'Maybe not being afraid makes me sweeter?' Renee giggled. 'Like that mouse you told me about?
What was her name again?'
'Amy?' Firros paused, wondering for a moment if the fear or lack of it could actually alter the way
prey tasted to predators. 'Well, maybe. That isn't the best news for you.'
'Oh, I trust you.' Renee replied, lowering herself to the point where she could wrap her arms in a
hug around his neck and press her head against his chin. 'While you're full, at least.'
'You're gonna screw up one day.' Firros warned. 'You'll get too comfortable. You'll be here with
your delicious aroma and I'm gonna make you into dinner.'
'No, you'll be too fond of me by then.' Renee persisted, twisting and sliding herself up beside the
cheetah's head. She wrapped one arm over top while her other rested on the side of his muzzle. 'Or I
think you will, at least? You do like me, right?'
'I do, but what do you think that means?' Firros asked, leaning his head to the side and pressing
the fur of his cheek down onto Renee's abdomen. His right eye was just above her face, the amber
iris dilating in a vain attempt to focus on her face too close. 'Do you think our relationship will be
anything like what you'd have with another rabbit?'
'N-no...' Renee shook her head, squirming in an attempt to push his head back off her. 'But you...
surely you wouldn't deliberately hurt me, right? If you got to... like me enough?'
'If I fall in love, you mean?' Firros grinned. 'Tell me, bunny. How do you really feel about me?' He
relented and lifted his head off her, allowing her to slide free. She spun herself off the edge of the
sofa and dropped herself to the floor.
'I don't know.' She answered after a few more moments. 'I-I want to say this could work? I want
to believe we could be a real couple? I wanna be like you.'
'Like me?' Firros sat up and raised an eyebrow. 'What do you mean?'
Renee turned back around, locking her eyes with his in a way that seemed an attempt to project
more confidence than she was entitled to show. 'Like you! Cocky, fearless, the kind of person that
would be running the world if only they wanted to!'
'Well... that isn't me at all.' The cheetah shrugged slowly. 'I think some of that is being shaped by
your perspective? Being someone so small could make one of the bigger cats seem that way I
guess?'
'You're missing the point!' Renee protested. 'It's more than just me not wanting to be prey. I want
to be... like you.'
'You want to be a predator.' Firros said. 'Tell me, did you feel this way before you ate that mouse?
Or was it not until afterwards?'
'I don't know.' The rabbit sighed. 'I guess I kind of knew before that, and then after is when I
finally understood what it was that I was feeling? I wanted to meet with an actual predator to talk
about all of it, but not one that was just gonna eat me straight afterwards.'
'And you decided that was me?' Firros murmured, thinking for a moment before another
question entered his mind. 'Tell me, are you attracted to me?'
'Y-yes?' Renee answered, a blush visible through the thinner cream fur on her cheeks. 'Or, at least
I think I am? You're... athletic and strong... W-why?'
'I'm not sure.' The cheetah narrowed his amber eyes as they bored into the glistening blue of
Renee's own staring back at him. 'Let me tell you what I think.'
     'O-okay?' The rabbit nodded slowly.
'Not too long ago, I registered on a dating app that connected predators and prey.' Firros
explained, taking a deep breath before he continued. 'A few conversations, mostly busts. Then I met
someone who was very keen on meeting a big cat. Turned out she was a mouse. A mouse with a
very peculiar... kink, I guess?'
'She wanted to be your... prey?' Renee raised an eyebrow.
'Exactly.' Firros nodded. He lowered himself to all fours in front of her, then before she could
react, leaned forward with his mouth open.
Renee gasped as his maw enveloped her sight. His tongue slid down her belly, prising her legs
apart and almost lifting her as it slid between. The motion pressed the back of her head and
shoulders into the ridges across the roof of the large cat's mouth and put her eyes squarely before
his throat. It was dark, but enough light entered from the room around them to illuminate the
pulsing flesh that formed the arch and uvula before the slightly glistening dark passage just behind.
A blast of hot wet air washed over her and in the next moment she felt his teeth close around her
thighs.
For a few agonizingly long seconds, Renee thought she was done for. She froze, unable to fully
accept that she was in the mouth of someone that had been kissing and holding her so gently only a
few minutes ago. She wanted to scream, to cry, maybe fight back? But her body refused to react to
the cavalcade of thoughts and emotions rushing through her head.
Firros opened his mouth back up and lifted his head away from Renee. The rabbit still stood,
staring straight ahead and froze in place. Tears had welled in both her eyes, but whether fear had
caused that or his own breath he couldn't say. After a few moments, it seemed she finally had the
ability to move again.
'Y-you... almost...' She looked accusingly at him and tried to speak through a trembling voice and
short ragged breaths.
'No, I didn't.' The cheetah smiled. 'Just wanted to make sure you weren't like... Amy.'
'NO!' Renee shouted, lifting her hands to her face and trying to wipe away the tears and drool
that had matted the fur around her eyes. 'I already told you, I'm the opposite!' Her expression
remained upset as she looked down and began to see the drool he had left on her fur and clothes.
'I'm sorry.' Firros said softly. 'Like I said, just... never mind. Do you want to shower? Change into
some new clothes?'
'Where are you gonna get clothes my size?' Renee demanded.
'Eh, she might have been a size or two larger.' Firros shrugged, patting his belly. 'Still should be
more comfortable than what you have on now, right?'
'R-right.' Renee nodded, realizing that the clothes Firros had removed from his meal would likely
still be around somewhere. 'Bathroom's down the hall, right?'
'Yea.' Firros nodded. 'The shower might be a tad too tall for you so, uh... I'll run you a bath.'

Once she'd done washing up in a bathtub large enough for her to swim in, Renee took some extra
time to float on top of the water and think. Spending time with Firros was something she enjoyed,
but the sight of his maw and the feeling of being so close to becoming his food was a stark reminder
of the dynamic that nature intended between them. Could such a relationship really work?
A knock at the door broke her train of thought. 'Is it okay if I come in?' Firros called.
Renee thought a moment before she replied. 'Yes! Come in.'
Firros opened the door and stepped into the bathroom, stopping short when he saw that Renee
was still floating naked in the tub, the spare clothes he'd left for her still on the stool beside the
basin. He lifted his shoulders in a slow questioning shrug.
'Look.' Renee said to him. She pulled herself to the edge of the tub and climbed onto the siderail.
With a deftness that came natural to her kind, she balanced herself upright and showed off her
naked shapely form to the large predator. The water dripped down her body, matting her normally
soft and fluffy fur and exaggerating her assets.
'I'm... looking.' Firros replied. 'You are... quite the young rabbit.'
'This does nothing for you?' She asked, almost pleadingly. 'Aren't I attractive to you at all?'
Firros blinked slowly and sighed. 'Listen, Renee. I can understand why you want this to work. I can
even empathize with you wanting to be a predator. But I need to tell you the truth here. There are
just too many physiological differences between a bunny and a big cat. I have absolutely no doubt
that any rabbit would find you beautiful. But the sight of your... exposed body, for me? It rouses...
the wrong appetite in me, if you know what I'm saying.' He sat down beside the tub as he spoke,
meeting her gaze with his own as earnestly as he could.
'I... I know.' Renee sighed, letting her ears and her shoulders droop in sadness. 'I just wanted this
to work so badly. I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable. Maybe I am just... cat food.'
Firros was silent for a few moments, then took a deep breath and leaned forward. Renee
twitched in fear, almost slipping back into the water only to be caught by his hand across her back.
With the same swift motion, he pulled her to his chest and wrapped his other arm around her as
well. Both were now soaked with the bath water.
'What are you doing?' She asked.
'Cat food doesn't get hugs like this.' Firros replied. 'Just let the bad feelings run their course and
then everything will be better. You'll be able to think clearer after a good rest.'
'Mmmhh...' Renee buried her face in the fur of the cheetah's chest and shivered. 'Can I... dry
myself off please?'
'Sure.' Firros set her down on the floor and dropped his towel on top of her. It was ridiculously
large for her, making them both laugh as she tried to use the thing without tripping over it. Once the
she was dried off, Renee donned the clothes of a rabbit now well on her way to becoming cheetah
pudge, or what little of a cheetah's food ever became pudge. From her contact with the cat, it had
become apparent that cheetahs had hardly any body fat at all, and from what she had seen of others
of his kind, that seemed to be the norm.
She made her way to his bedroom while he remained in his bathroom to shower. It was as
gigantic as she remembered from the last time she'd been here a week ago. She'd spent every night
since thinking about him, wondering if she was infatuated with him or just the idea of being in a
relationship with him. It was now apparent that the latter was true, as the incompatibility between
their species was more than just physical.
When Firros finally entered, lying down beside her, she felt the tinge of regret begin to well up in
her again. 'F-Firros?' She began, waiting for him to turn towards her before she continued. 'Even if
we can never be a couple... I'd like to keep seeing you. Is that alright?'
'I suppose.' The cheetah replied. 'To be honest, I thought you'd move on from this idea when you
saw me eat your friend last week. I'm actually surprised you called again. You're okay with the risk
you take coming here, right? This is big cat neighbourhood.'
'Of course.' Renee giggled. 'As long as I'm here before eight, everything's fine.' She blew him a
playful kiss and rolled onto her back. The brief tinge of sadness from remembering Angie's fate
didn't dim her mood at all. Angie had not been the first friend she'd lost to a big cat's belly, and
probably wouldn't be the last.
Firros pulled her closer, resting his head against her like a pillow and closing his eyes. 'Sure thing,
little bunny. Sure thing...'
